            Madam Geeta Rani is a social movie which reflects the poor condition of government school in Tamil Nadu state in India. It reflects poor teaching learning activities,lack of proper management,negligence of disgusting teacher, disturbance of local MLA of village etc. in a school. Producer has intended to present urgent need for educational development in government based school. Although this concerns Tami Nadu state, it would be no injustice to say that most of the government schools have  such types of problems which are reaveled in  this play. A female headteacher has tried her best to improve existing situation of government school.

Synopsis

            The film is about a headmistress (Jyothika) who converts a poorly run school into one of the best in the state. Lieutenant Colonel Geeta Rani is a trainer for new recruits in India Army. When she gets to about a poorly functioning government school, Geeta Rani decides to  take position of the school headmistress to improve its state

            Upon arriving at the village ,Geeta Rani hears people talking ill about the school, so she gradually makes new positive changes in the school. she finds teachers and students indisciplined. The teacher lacks basic knowledge in their subject. In this proces, she makes a few friends and many enemies, including the local MLA of the village. The majority of the film focuses on how Geeta Rani tries to change the state of the school and makes it one of the best school in the state.

            The cunning Ramalingam(Harresh Peradi),principal of MSC Private school is determined to smoke her out of the school, for which he gets the support of local MLA and same disgrunted staff.And soon Geeta runs into trouble with the districts administration as she tries to bring about a change within the out dated education system.She  gets arrested as she misused her post,run activities against rule.Any way finally central gaol compels to release her because of school's good result and students' continuous protest to release her. She was at the centre of students

            Jothika ,Geeta Rani, a central character, as headteacher has very clean performance through the play. The performance looks very solid and sincere. Her dialogues are powerful and towering over others such as 'learning by happiness; ,learning by together ,and learning by courage.'. Music seems to be with no emotional feelings. Characters are entangled in actions than songs and music.

            The film has been awarded with many medals and awards like Behindwoods Gold Medal 2019, Award for Best Actor lead Role (female), Edison Award for best Actress 2019 and so on.It also suggests the need of educational development in government school. Films like this are constant reminders of the need to upgrade our governmental school. This also does not mean that all governmental school are in bad situation.
